One thing about organizing drives is that you discover old photos. And with that great memories of prior trips. These are from a while back, before the digital era, before I knew really even how to use a camera. Angkor Wat struck me as a fantastical scene, so majestic and beautiful. A place stuck in time, forgotten. Of course, the rest of the country had been rapped by the Khmer Rouge and their years of control. However, Angkor Wat remained fairly untouched. The inner walls of the outer gallery bear a series of large-scale scenes mainly depicting episodes from the Hindu epics the Ramayana.
