the last shangrila

I’m sitting here in this small little hotel, have not even bumped into one other tourist except yesterday…a single person! WOW! Bhutan has a population of only 700 thousand people and the country feels like Asia’s Switzerland. It’s gorgeous, the people beautiful and so friendly, and everything is clean and organized. It’s been a long time since I’ve wanted to come here, and I am lucky to have a great guide named Karma show me his country (he also happens to be a monk). I don’t know where to even start…so I will just post a few pictures from today so you can see a little of what I am experiencing. Oh yes, did I mention that Gross National Product is measured in Happiness?
