north of the south island…uncertain weather…

Thee gliding through the sea of form,
Like the lightning through the storm,
Somewhat not to be possessed,
Somewhat not to be caressed,
No feet so fleet could ever find,
No perfect form could ever bind.
Thou eternal fugitive
Hovering over all that live,
Quick and skillful to inspire
Sweet extravagant desire,
Starry space and lily bell
Filling with thy roseate smell,
Wilt not give the lips to taste
Of the nectar which thou hast.

It is named Aotearoa, which translates as The Land of the Long White Cloud. It’s the country of the Flying Concords, Sir Edmund Hillary, and the Maori. There are so many sheep and green pastures, it makes you almost want to graze out there with them too! New Zealand is a developed country that ranks highly in international comparisons on human development, quality of life, life expectancy, literacy, public education, peace, prosperity, economic freedom, ease of doing business, lack of corruption, press freedom, and the protection of civil liberties and political rights. Its cities also consistently rank among the world’s most live able. It is a cultivated and genteel country.
